What are Conservatories?

Conservatories are the more complex of the glass structures.   From its early beginnings in the late 1800's the conservatory has been a room for people and plants.  The conservatory provides a way to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors while being warm and sheltered from the weather outside.  The rooms have become entertainment areas as well as personal relaxation spaces.

Today, with a renewed interest in the conservatory, engineering has provided new glazing materials, heating and ventilation systems which make these glass spaces as safe and confortable as other more conventional rooms.  Conservatories are used as dining rooms, sitting rooms, studies, kitchen extensions and family rooms.

The conservatory can be a wonderful addition to your home, however, you must work with professionals, people with years of experience, because, although the conservatory is a beautiful room it can present many problems to the homeowner.  Experienced sunroom designers must be utilized if the conseratory is your choice.
