How do I get better adhesion of porch & deck paint?
I have an enclosed porch with a cement deck. The enclosure is not weather tight. Its a screened in room with a roof. So humidity and temperature are an issue in the summer. The paint never seems to adhere well, regardless of the precautions taken to prepare the surface and ensure that the paint is applied in low humidity conditions in warmer temperatures. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the northeast USA and have access to Home Depot and Lowe's as well as other specialty retailers.
I wonder if you have neutralize after applying the acid and before applying the paint?
Answer: Make sure your surface is clean. But maybe it is time to switch over to a different paint if your having so much problems.
A epoxy surface sounds like it would fit your needs nicely. Rustoleum makes a kit to do the job.
